AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

1. How can you use money wisely and manage it effectively🤔?

Don’t buy anything impulsively. Step and reflect whether one really needs it or it is just one of the things that one fancifully desires.

Keep aside a certain amount for unselfish purposes, for good of humanity and even better, for divine purposes.

2. How can you avoid being exploited by people around you in terms of money?

One should give away money in an unthinking manner. The context and purpose and the person should be considered carefully before giving. However once given one should be inwardly ready that it may not be returned. Charging interest on money that is lent is never a good idea. Best is neither to ask nor lend money. When given then it is best to forget about it.

3. What steps should you take to manage your finances better, especially when you receive a substantial amount but have nothing left by the end of the month?

Nothing left at the end of the month could be either due to over spending or generous giving. Over spending is never a good thing and generous giving when done blindly is not helpful either to the giver or to the receiver.

Money needs a careful conscious handling.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The talk sounded like you were putting down Marriage as a concept! True, some regions do this horse ride/wasting money, which is in bad taste. However, Marriage as a concept gives the monkey minds a framework. 🥸💍💒[…]

Yes, I agree that for the average human being, these outer frameworks and social institutions do serve a purpose of holding people together. Of course, as I mentioned, marriage or not, love and togetherness can be beautiful and ought to be so. But for that, man needs to evolve beyond the present frameworks, which operate as long as one accepts the limits of dos and don’ts. …
