AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sir, How to navigate the guilt and regret about failures of life and pursue the path of yoga with absolute confidence and clarity without getting sucked😥?

There is only one failure. It is to give up effort for progress in one direction or another. All the rest is a preparation for the true and lasting achievement, the one real success that counts. It is to live well, for a greater ideal, a higher aim. As long as success and failure can impel to progress inwardly, they have served the purpose. If outer achievement and material success ties us to small and limited achievements of money or fame then it is in fact an inner failure. On the other hand if failure can propel us towards the true goal, the Permanent achievement such as finding the Divine, then it is no more a failure but a boon and a blessing. Ultimately one must learn to trust the greater Divine Wisdom that has plans for us and it is the Divine Grace that we must seek and rely upon than outer successes that are won and lost and leave us unchanged as a human being and often even worse.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
