AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

In Savitri🕊️, Is Aswapati the aspiring soul, Savitri the Divine Mother, and Satyavan the human soul? If not, what do these three figures symbolise?

Aswapati is a divine being from the higher consciousness who has come to earth to help. By assuming a human body he becomes the representative of aspiring humanity embodying the human aspiration and the anguish. So he is the Divine Representative who spearheads the human race to lead it forward. His actions pave the way for the future. His thoughts will leave divine imprints for the mind of humanity to turn in that direction. His life will become the mould for man to follow as a divine example.

Satyavan is the Supreme Lord who has entered into the earthly play with all its twists and turns. He is therefore the symbol of the human soul that is struggling upwards through the dense forest of ignorance.

Savitri is the Divine Mother, an embodiment of the Grace that has come to save, the Divine Love that has come to transform.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

First about the facts. Mr Sonam Wangchuk is not inspired by Sri Aurobindo. There is nothing even remotely common between him and Sri Aurobindo whose name he has used as if he is going through a similar process. It …

“There is no criterion, but one can easily distinguish if one is in the inward condition, not sleep, in which most visions take place, by the nature of the impression made. A vision in a dream is more difficult to distinguish from a vivid dream-experience but one gets to feel the difference”- from Letters of Yoga. Alok Da, can you please explain the last line written by Sri Aurobindo? 🌄

A vivid dream experience is generally of a symbolic nature that reveals a deeper truth through the sign language of dreams. A vision, on the other hand is an…
