AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

You said with the help of the Supermind, only we can clean or transform our falsehood to its source of truth, or some dissolve to their origin 😇[conti]

But we don’t know the mechanism of the Supermind. We only know the mechanism of the physical mind. During jealousy feeling we just divert our mind or remember some words of our Mother, like (not to entertain these activities within you), we succeed in stopping the action of jealousy within our body system. This is the work of the physical mind. The question is how the supermind acts to transform our falsehood into its own origin of truth? What is the process?

It is understood that the mind cannot know the working of the Supermind as long as it remains itself. It is so because the Supermind is the higher principle, and the mind itself is derived from it. The mind can understand the Supermind only by being itself transformed into the Divine Mind or else by opening to the Divine Consciousness through the psychic being. It is the same thing that the animal mind can at best guess or imitate the human being, but cannot understand why and how our mind works.

The only way to understand it is through analogies; for example, we can say that the Supermind dissolves all jealousy, bitterness, hatred, etc. Just as butter melts under the sun, or ice turns into vapour thus changing its quality completely.  However, it is not easy for man to bear the impact of the Supermind and hence the safer way is to open and surrender to the Mother. After all, the Supermind is the Divine Power hidden in creation but acting through the veils of ignorance.  Supramental Manifestation means that this power is out in the open, acting directly and not through the veils of the mind.

Affectionately

In her conversations with Mona Sarkar on revolutionaries, the Mother mentioned that Subhas had quite illumined psychic after seeing his picture. Then how did he go into the asuric camp? 🤔

Which book of Mona da is it mentioned? I have not come across it. Would like to see the reference. Sri Aurobindo’s own assessment of him was that he was a passionate sentimental idealist with the streak of ambition that drove him. Of course this comment refers to his personaity and nature in this life. It is not any judgment ….
