AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I was listening to one of your recent talks on Auromaa. There, you said that many children nowadays feel stifled in their bodies because they are so wide. I want to share my childhood experience of something similar. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ„[…]

As a child, I was almost appalled by the incapacity and limitations of the human body. I wanted to run very fast, throw the ball very far and very high and fly (even though I knew it wasn’t possible). I wanted to create beautiful things and dance perfectly. However, I was unable to do these things because of the limitations of my body. I hated that I was unable to spontaneously express myself. I almost felt like being human was boring and mundane.

After listening to stories of Hanuman ji flying and Sri Krishna lifting the Govardhan on his pinky, I felt that we were so weak. And when I saw people who could do these amazing things naturally, I wished that we all could do these things spontaneously, without any special effort or training. I had wished that we humans had a body that was capable of more. Was this some kind of psychic feeling?Β

It is a sign that you belong to the New Creation for whom nothing really is ultimately impossible.

Affectioately,

Alok Da

I have been trying more and more to steal time for writing. I find out that it soothes me when I get in the zone and just let the words flow.Β I have also finally started therapy. I often hear you mention ‘Equanimity’ in many of the talks. But I am still not able to have a clear picture of exactly what Equanimity means and how I should practice it in my day-to-day life. Please elaborate with examples, if you can. πŸ€”πŸͺ΄πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ·βœ¨
