It’s like the want of these things is never-ending. You had mentioned that, once we get over these feelings, it is when we become worthy of the Divine Loveβ¦ I don’t know what to doβ¦ Can you please correct me and show me the right way?
One must be very patient, as these instincts are deeply rooted in our biology and our animal past. They have a tendency to resurface even after disappearing for long due to the environmental and collective consciousness. One should be careful not to get into excessive conflict and spend energy trying to suppress them. Instead, one should keep on growing in bhakti, love, surrender, knowledge, peace, inner joy. Meanwhile, regarding these impulses, one should stay busy and do vigorous physical exercises and make sure there is no boredom. Don’t pay much attention to things that act as triggers and divert your mind into meaningful activities when the urge arises. The method lies in sanyama, observing moderation and progressive control rather than nigraha, strict abstinence and total repression.Β
Affectioanately,
