AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I don’t feel like do anything. It seems that aspiration and will are being exhausted. Earlier, there was so much devotion, there was aspiration and there was a desire for progress, but now only destruction is visible on all sides. Why are there so many difficulties😥? Mind, vital, physical all are creates obstacles. Neither to study nor to make efforts, no one can do it. Without any reason the mind doubts. As this is his habit. The automatic sees any thing and suddenly judge it. I am not experiencing anything and it feels like I am not progressing. One thing has happened during this, I have realized that the evil that is in everyone’s heart is also in my heart. Why does this happen and what should I do in this situation?

These are phases that come in every seekers life because there are many parts and aspects in us. That is why taking to spiritual life too early especially during adolescence is not very desirable as the challenges are many. It is only when we have gone through the experiences of life keeping the right attitude that we become ready for the plunge. Until then one should read spiritual books, scriptures but also try to study well, meet the various challenges such as of job and relationship while practicing equanimity. Then after the ups and downs the flame of aspiration can be steady and the progress be uninterrupted. It takes long, many years of inner purification until the aspiration can stay longer. One has to have great patience and perseverance to go through the spiritual life until the end. After all it is the greatest adventure and the most challenging discovery of all times.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

In her conversations with Mona Sarkar on revolutionaries, the Mother mentioned that Subhas had quite illumined psychic after seeing his picture. Then how did he go into the asuric camp? 🤔

Which book of Mona da is it mentioned? I have not come across it. Would like to see the reference. Sri Aurobindo’s own assessment of him was that he was a passionate sentimental idealist with the streak of ambition that drove him.
