AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

How do I get rid of jealousy🤢, it’s a really big problem for me. But I don’t want it. I tried searching through Mother’s works but can’t seem to find anything major. I know I should keep offering, but what effort am I to put in from my part ? When it comes it’s so overwhelming and no matter how much I try to step back, fight it with reason or simply reject it, it’s not working. I find myself comparing myself constantly, wanting what others have, even though I hate the thoughts. As far as I can remember, since I was a child this has been a problem for me and it’s grappling.

Jealousy comes due to a feeling of inadequacy within oneself. As a result we keep comparing ourselves with others with the attendant results of ambition, jealousy, and feelings of inferiority.  At the root of it is the sense of inferiority that leads to comparisons and thereby feel either vainly superior or else jealous.

The remedy lies first of all in accepting ourselves as we are and know that each one is unique and different. And then to surrender oneself to the Divine with a prayer that may we be what She wants me to be. Along with this to trust that whatever the Divine has given us, in whatever position the Divine has placed is best for our growth, to shift the focus from what we have or have not outwardly to how much we are one with Her. It is the growing inner closeness with the Divine that alone can eliminate and annihilate these enemies of our soul and replace them with wideness, generosity and nobility of temperament,  and the spirit of renunciation and sacrifice in which these forces cannot stay for long.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Why some people suffer so much in their lives both physically and mentally while others get everything smooth both mentally and physically? Yesterday I went to meet my 82 year old neighbour who is suffering from cancer for the past four years. Her treatment is going on and she was fine till June 2024 but now she has become very weak and suffering from multiple myeloma. One can see pain and suffering in her eyes. After meeting her I felt it is better to die than to live in this condition😭. Is this suffering due to what we call prarabdh or is it something else? And why not death comes and take lives of such persons who are suffering a lot because it is very painful to live in such condition?

That earthly life has its burden of suffering is obvious. The difference exists in theories about the cause of suffering. The wise say its root cause is ignorance. What is meant by this term is that we do not know who we are or why we are here? We do not know the play of forces and the way to master them? Let us apply …

Why was this world 🌏 made? You explained it beautifully, but I’m an atheist and don’t believe it was created by a power. If I did, I wouldn’t be asking this question.

Normally one would this question only if one believed that there is a Conscious Being or Power that has gone into the making of this world. If one is an Atheist then the right question would be not why but how this world was made. Because non-belief in a Conscious Wisdom and Force that has gone into…

What were the events that turned the following wars? Ramayana, Mahabharata, World War 1 💣and World War 2. I believe the World War 2’s turning point was Dunkirk or was it when Winston Churchill became Prime Minister or I might be wrong? Please explain.

All these three or four major wars took place during the time of the three Avatars who had come to establish dharma consistent with the dawn of a new age. Therefore these wars can very well be seen as the last ditch attempt for the forces of adharma to resist the new age being ushered by the Avatar. Therefore each war has a spiritual as well as physical turning point.

The spiritual turning point is when the forces of adharma took an extreme step that invited a strong recoil as well as a Divine Intervention. Such a point for the Ramayana war that
