But who said that the soul created ignorance and wants to enjoy it? That is an erroneous conclusion and false premise.
For a moment let us leave aside how ignorance came into being and what is its purpose and focus on the soul alone. Well the soul never enjoys ignorance. It seeks to get out of it. It is ignorance that keeps us tied to the circle of pleasure and pain, joy and grief. But the soul seeks unmixed Truth, pure Bliss, unconditional Peace, true Love, unfading Beauty and ever progressive Harmony. But due to ignorance it struggles for these things and even if for a moment feels helpless against it, it never regards them as final and last destinations. Even in complete darkness it always seeks for more and more Light.
Yes we should face life with equanimity and try to be happy in every circumstance. This attitude does not contradict but facilitates the soul’s discovery. Yes it is only when the time to seek the soul and God comes that the seeking arises like the labour pains of delivery. Before that one cannot and should not force anyone to find the soul. There are several stages of man’s inner progress like classes in a school. One cannot push a child in primary section to do the higher secondary lessons.
Affectionately,
