AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

My question. Mother writes in one of her prayers: In Peace and Silence the Eternal manifests; allow nothing to disturb you and the Eternal will manifest😇; (December 5, 1912)

In the Gita in Chapter 2, Lord Krishna says that even if we control our senses and eradicate desires, still the rasa remains in the being and that the rasa also ceases when the Supreme is seen. It appears to me that true stillness, true peace will manifest AFTER we realise the Supreme. since the remnants of the rasa in the being can sway us from time to time, and disturb our peace. But Mother puts here that if we are peaceful, THEN the Eternal will manifest.  Which manifests first? Perfect peace or The Supreme?

Yes, they in fact complement each other. The Gita declares that a complete mastery is not possible without the touch of the Eternal. The Mother is showing us how to go about that. She is we should not put too much effort and intensity even in seeking for God as the effort itself delays it. Instead we should just remain quiet and in that state of inner peace full of trust we shall receive the liberating touch of the Eternal. Basically the peace refered to here, is the peace that comes through a surrender full of trust as opposed to the disturbance that arises by excessive effort at seeking.  The Gita is referring to another phenomenon, the disturbance due to desires which ends completely only when one has found the Divine.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dada, why do bad things happen to good people? Like, if you are involved in the process of making black money, then you will make more and more, while those who are sincere towards their work and don’t engage in unethical practices tend to make far less money after lots of hard work. 😥💰💔🦋[…]

First of all we must be sure what really is a bad thing. Earning money by dark means is to lose contact with your soul. That is straight road to self destruction. Giving true love to anyone increases the force of love in you. Increase of the energy of love gives natural spontaneous joy. It is not the love that you receive from others that
