AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

What exactly does immortality mean in this yoga? My understanding is that the psychic being becomes conscious of its journey from birth to birth. Am I right🤨? Kindly enlighten me.

There are three main kinds of immortality that the yogi becomes aware of. The first is of course, as you rightly mention, becoming conscious of the immortal soul, the psychic being in us. This is easier and generally within everyone’s reach.

The second is opening to the Divine beyond the cosmos, the limitless Infinite consciousness of the Divine.  Only the finite dies, the Infinite is by its nature deathless. This too is possible and has been achieved.

The third and most difficult is the physical immortality that is still a work in progress.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
