AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I wanted to know if someone who worships Radha Krishna, knowing about the Mother and Sri Aurobindo, and sincerely dedicates themselves to Radha Krishna with devotion and prayers, can they reach the stage of complete yoga? πŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·[…]

And I have another question: If a girl wants to practice Sadhana without getting married, is that right or wrong? If it is right, what things should she focus on? Please explain these things to me, as I am not able to understand. I don’t want to get married and settle down, but my family is forcing me to get married. What should I do?

The integral yoga is not a yoga of bhakti alone. And even the bhakti here is not of the traditional kind. This yoga is not easy and requires a one-pointed dedication and surrender to the Mother and the Mother alone. As to marriage, it has to be a personal decision. It depends upon each one. It works well for some, giving them the experiences one needs for the sadhana. With others, it can absorb and lock lot of energies in meaningless activities. Besides some can stay alone and even prefer to be independent. Others need a companion. So, general rules cannot be made.

However, you are quite young right now to get into marriage. Right now, you should focus on studies and becoming financially independent. Meanwhile, continue reading and practising the yoga with faith. Cultivate peace and equanimity and remember the Mother as often as you can.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

In her conversations with Mona Sarkar on revolutionaries, the Mother mentioned that Subhas had quite illumined psychic after seeing his picture. Then how did he go into the asuric camp? πŸ€”

Which book of Mona da is it mentioned? I have not come across it. Would like to see the reference. Sri Aurobindo’s own assessment of him was that he was a passionate sentimental idealist with the streak of ambition that drove him. Of course this comment refers to his personaity and nature in this life. It is not any judgment ….
