AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I never say anything to anyone, I just don’t have the courage. My in-laws sometimes insult me but I cannot answer anything back. I just freeze and the other day they were pressuring my daughter for something they should not and still I could not speak up, I feel that I am letting my daughter down.

Courage is something to be cultivated. One should not allow oneself to be treated like a football or be at the mercy of other’s will.

Self-respect is a healthy thing unless it becomes excessive and one starts seeing insult where there is only a strongly worded advise that elders often tend to give.

However your actions will become a template for your daughter and fears can get transmitted to them from parents. Talk to your husband to especially ensure that all this does not happen in front of the child.

Affectionately,

Alok da.

What are your thoughts on the incompetent, corrupt and ego-filled politicians of modern India who are not at all caring for the people of this country? 😣🪧👥🪧🍂

As a starter it is harmful to involve students in politics. It is as good as destroying their future. But almost all the political parties do it. The minimum requirements for joining active politics should be at least 25 (when you have completed your studies and have a job) or 35 when there is some experience and maturity to understand life, especially the web of politics. Student movements almost always get hijacked by political parties with vested interests and backed by funds and forces whose purpose is very different from what is proclaimed. These forces, – …

Dada, yesterday during the study circle, we were reading about Purusha and Prakriti. In the course of the discussion, I happened to say that Sri Aurobindo is Purusha and the Mother is Prakriti (the executive power of the Purusha). Dada, please tell us your view. 😊🙏🏻🌼🪷

The truth of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother is that they are human representation of Ishwara and Shakti. Shakti is also known simetimes known as Paraprakriti or the higher Divine Supernature.

Prakriti generally refers to the lower formulation of the Higher Divine Nature. Prakriti as it operates here…
