Yes. Absolutely true. By ascending towards higher human or divine possibilities, he automatically exerts a pull upon others in the same direction. It is because we are all interconnected, and when one man realises a higher possibility, he not only pulls others as a rope pulls everything tied to it, but also becomes a luminous example that inspires and influences others to realise the same divine possibility. But charity, philanthropy, etc, though helpful at their own level, keeps humanity tied to the life of ignorance, moving in an endless circle of happiness and sorrow. It colours life on the surface like repairing the denting and painting of the car, but the engine and basic design remain the same. Spirituality, on the other hand, goes for the inner change primarily, which in turn influences the outer. It changes the model and upgrades the human vehicle, opening doors to higher possibilities rather than simply an outer makeover.
