AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Alok da, my 11 year old has suddenly feeling the fear of death, this thought use to torment me since I was 8 till throughout adolescence, how to deal with this and help him out😬 ?

Some children get shocked when they hear about death especially because it brings a great insecurity especially with regard to parents. This insecurity needs to be addressed as well as the real nature of death discussed openly. Knowledge is always a power that releases us from bondage to fear and suffering. Children need to be explained in simple terms and through stories that death is only an appearance, a natural transition when our work is over and that the permanent as well as the ultimate security is God. They should learn to pray everyday and for every little thing. It also helps if they keep a special object in which they can have a natural faith as representing the Divine Power. Anyways they grow out of it as they grow up putting it in a small little shelf of life.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

It is not yet the World War. If we see the root cause of the two World Wars, it was an inordinate ambition of one or two dictators that took the form of gobbling up the nations. Such an ambition in today’s times is extremely difficult even though …
