Sri Aurobindo is like an ocean where many rivers meet. What is needed is clarity about the goal, the path opens accordingly. So too your inner seeking has led you to Sri Aurobindo. There is no lineage here. All who sincerely aspire for the Divine and the ideal of Divine Life upon earth automatically get connected by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. The Mala-Mantra is a medium, a vehicle to carry your aspiration to the Divine. There is no need to discontinue it if it is helping you. When it is no more needed for your growth you will inwardly feel so and then it will drop off. No need to force anything as Sri Aurobindo and the Mother understand your true aspiration and will lead you to the goal once a willing and conscious surrender is made to the Mother. What is needed is to read Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, meditate upon the Mother in addition to whatever japa you are doing and offer all your actions to Her. Whenever you get time do the Naam Japa, Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa.
Is it good or sin to switch?
There is no place of sin and guilt in yoga. The Path, method, system is of secondary importance, the goal, the aspiration, the inner seeking is the main thing. It is not a switching but a natural development, a growth of inner aspiration, the deepening and widening of consciousness that has led you to Sri Aurobindo and the Mother as a result of inner evolution.
3. Can I realign my new path comfortably or it will be difficult to maintain distance from the previously habituated path?
If you catch the thread of your inner seeking, it will be easy. If you focus only on the method then it naturally becomes difficult.
4. Are there any Guru-Dikshya Parampara in this lineage?
No, the awakening of aspiration, feeling an inner call for this yoga is the initiation. There is no other outer formal initiation here.
5. I can’t afford to waste the time anymore even second is important for me. It is too late for me because many years I was in darkness and wasted the time. Sir, earlier indirectly I was in contact of Sri Aurobindo’s path by myself in search of spirituality, but it was difficult for me to accept Sri Maa & Sri Aurobindo as the God due to lack of knowledge and darkness of mind. Now clarity is there in my mind. I want to be a part of the change(revolution) to make the world divine.
It is never too late to begin. Besides you have been seeking all these years and as you can see yourself Sri Aurobindo was already there in the background preparing you. Now you are ready to walk the path. So pick up the pilgrim-staff of faith, light up the torch of aspiration, use Her Name as the chief support and walk. The Mother will support, help and guide you.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
