Human beings can be seen as receivers and transmitters of certain energies and vibrations, as conduits of states of consciousness, as instruments and channels of certain forces. But this is not limited to human beings. Whole creation is a mass of vibrations and each creature, each form is an instrument to project and manifest certain vibrations. The computer and television is no exception. Even inanimate objects can be charged to exude certain forces.
So watching horror movies on television implies that we are unwittingly allowing vibrations of fear, thoughts of murder etc to spread upon earth as well filling our lungs with fear. It is essentially a perverse form of joy.
It may be noted that the mind does not distinguish so much between physically real and virtual. It reacts to images as if they are real with its attendant consequences.
Now it is upto us to decide what kind of instrument we want to be.
