AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

How to answer if someone ask, why are you praying human God🫤?

Islam, Christianity believe that God is somewhere Above and the only link between man and God is through the teachings given by the founders of these religions. Therefore they do not believe in worshipping God in any human form. Though these religions still worship their sacred book, the founder and the sites associated with the founders!

Sanatana Dharma and religions that have sprung from its core experiences believe that God not only dwells Above but within, around, everywhere.  Not only does God dwell within man according to the Vedas, Upanishads and the Gita, man can discover and unite with God through ‘Yoga’. The consciousness of such a person is full of the consciousness of God and therefore such a person becomes a representative of God in humanity. It is the tradition of the Guru or Master who is considered even beyond the gods because he has discovered and become one with the Supreme.

In fact according to Sanatana Dharma one can worship almost anything idol, river, mountain, sun, fire,  moon, tree, cow, even snake and, if done sincerely with the right attitude and aspiration and get a response from God because God dwells in everything.  But human beings are specially privileged to be able to unite their consciousness with God and such people are worshipped and revered as God. That is why we have worshipped countless human beings such as Rama, Krishna, Chaitanya, various Rishis of the past and present. It enriches rather than diminishes man’s approaches to God.

So as you see, mankind has followed two conceptions of God. One is narrow and limited. It creates a rigid barrier between God and mankind leading to fanaticism. The other is a wide conception of God that sees God beyond the world as well as within it. It leads to wideness, inclusivity and tolerance. It is now upto each one to follow whatever conception they want to follow. As is our faith so does God reveals Himself to man.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

My brother recently had a daughter. This made me read and explore more about that subject. I understand that the soul chooses to take human birth to progress further, but does it also choose the family or parents through whom to come into this human vital world? 👧🏼🪷🌻✨

Choosing the parents happens when the psychic being is developed and able to chose the conditions of earthly life into details. Until then it is only a general choice about the conditions and not particular details. Until a certain degree of development is completed the psychic being only goes by a …

Sri Aurobindo writes in “The web of yoga”, “We can pass into the Paratpara Brahman, but we can’t know the Paratpara Brahman.” Does it mean attaining Nirvanam, The Total Merger, that nothing individual is left? So knowing is not possible in Nirvanam. Am I right in my understanding? 💫💖🪷✨

Yes because knowing implies a competition between the knower and the known. We can therefore become Brahman not know IT as know an object. We can lose ourselves into …

The question today is regarding the Epstein files. As you well know, several “luminaries”, scientists, technocrats, as well as royals, all of whom the world idolizes madly, have all been implicated as perverts, as those who lack basic morals. 👥👥😟🥀[…]

A long time ago Plato made Socrates pose this classic question in his Euthyphro dilemma, in a slightly different way. Socrates simply asks: Why is a thing pious or impious? Is it because the Divine endorses it or rejects it, or is it because the thing is pious or impious in itself and Divine has nothing to do with it? One wonders.

The Epstein files has simply scratched the surfaces of the neat outer facade of human beings and bared the rots that is held in its underbelly. Pursuit of material success and moral growth are often at variance with each other. It…
