I fully understand and have gone through this phase in the beginning of the Yoga. Used to switch off inwardly, directing the consciousness to concentration in the heart centre on Her Presence, speaking very little, only indispensable conversation, and looking upon all with a smile feeling amused at how one can live with such a state. This is what I would recommend to you as well. A deep samata of inner indifference and calling peace are additional helpful processes to deal with these situations.
