AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I don’t know how to deal with my nature. I am the kind of person who doesn’t react to small things like minor fights or disrespect. I either let them go or ignore them and get back to normal within 5–10 minutes or, at most, 1–2 hours. But when someone says “No” to me, it deeply hurts my ego, like very deeply. I start overthinking, connecting past events, and assuming their intentions were wrong. This makes small issues much bigger, and sometimes I end up risking my relationships or career because of it😥.

It is not easy to change one’s nature. Becoming conscious of the difficulty is of course the first step. Next, one has to persistently apply the Intelligent Will or the Buddhi with this background knowledge that neither life nor people are there to please me or fulfil my wishes. We are not and cannot be the centre of the world. Along with this comes the complimentary knowledge that each one follows their own way and it is no use coercing others to accept our thought or way or honor our wish. This is an important lesson for all of us to learn. The sooner, the better.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

It is a beautiful crystal clear dream. The beautiful garden is the New Creation that has been made ready to manifest. The dark clouds is the ignorance surrounding us, preventing us to behold it. The rain is the purifying …

There is no slip of the soul. The Jivatma has taken a very conscious decision to plunge into the play just as a child choses to go to the school where, through number of tests and learnings and challenges, he will ultimately realise…
