I heard your lecture yesterday, you spoke about the only two ways in which a person can progress in life, either Courage or Faith. But what happens if a person tries to keep Courage and Faith both, but neither is truly complete and though they try to keep at it, it often fails? Besides, aren’t Courage and Faith sort of one and the same, in a roundabout way?
One can progress in many ways, but courage and faith are indispensable. Faith is most important out of the two, as doubts (self-doubts, doubts about the future) completely paralyse us. But one may have faith that all will be well, yet may refuse to move forward due to fear of the challenges, obstacles and difficulties on the way. One needs both. But even if either or both are deficient, one can ask it from the Divine Grace and develop it by engaging in action instead of procrastinating or refusing to do what one must do from one’s own side.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
