AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I saw a dream where I was sightseeing the city of Kashi, but the streets were broader, larger, spacious and they were covered with flowers. Also, there was a strange hue and the population was very sparse, like in European cities. πŸ™οΈπŸͺ·πŸˆπŸ¦šπŸ•ŠοΈ[…]

There were large structures in nagar style, which are not present in real Kashi. Saw a Vaishnav Temple. There were all new landmarks, and they were very spacious. The time was modern, but the old was preserved; it was like a parallel universe where the invasion never happened. Saw statues of Ahilyabai Holkar and Chatrapati Shivaji, and a statue of Modi ji, to whom people were paying respect, so I assume it was a future time where he was already a legendary figure and the Soul of India had awakened. All were laughing and enjoying sightseeing. I asked someone about the place he said it was Kashi. One particular street was packed with animals; there were elephants, cute dogs and cute white cats and with them, there were dreadful hyenas and large evil vultures, but they were not harming anyone; they were roaming freely like strays. It was like an open zoo; we had to carefully dodge these animals. Then the dream ended. I think it was a subtle vital city of Kashi. What are your thoughts?

It is quite likely the Kashi of the future in the subtle physical world, waiting for its hour. Though strangely the description feels also similar to the psychological atmosphere of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry. Champaklal ji did speak of it once as modern-day Kashi because of Sri Aurobindo’s promise that those devotees who die here will come straight to him in his subtle physical abode, regardless of their state of consciousness.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Alok da, β€œThere are others which the Gita does not raise or answer, for they were not pressingly present to the human mind of that day.” Has Sri Aurobindo raised and answered these beyond the Gita? πŸ“™βœ’οΈπŸ¦šπŸͺ·[…]
