AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

I want to know the meaning of a dream that I saw . In that dream I was climbing a mountain but there was a huge pit which was like a dark abyss. I had to cross that large pit and then climb the stairs to move forward. After seeing that huge pit i got scared to cross that so i chose another route that had easy stairs to climb the mountain⛰️. Mother and Sri Aurobindo writes a lot of thing about this abyss . Kindly explain some of their writing on this subject.

The pit is the abyss of doubts and fears that makes us feel that the difficulty in reaching the Divine is insurmountable. But the Mother shows us the easier way to climb the mountains using the stair of faith, aspiration, devotion and surrender.

I am sure I have replied the meaning. Perhaps the email has gone into spam. As to the abyss, it is best not to be interested in it in anyway. It is all that denies and opposes the Divine. Read about the Divine and leave it to the Mother to take care of the Abyss.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

I tried following some of your advice, such as exercise, breathing, creative expression, etc. It helped me enormously. But still there are times in which I just get completely submerged in lustful thoughts and overpowering desires. During such times I cannot sleep in the night and just crave sex intensely.
