AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Is the ritual of Kanya daan not prescribed in Rig Veda🤨?

The ritual of Kanya daan is not mentioned in any of the four Vedas. It is supposed to be part of the dharma tradition that came into existence before the Mahabharata but its exact source remains unknown. It has hardly any relevance now in our present times.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
