AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Mother said that one of the aim of the yoga is to be a master of the forces of nature rather than being a mechanical slave of it. Sir, how can one master the forces of nature by doing yoga🤔?

It is not an aim of the yoga but a needed step. Because without self-mastery we will always remain a plaything in the hands of forces of ignorance which will not allow us to go further.

The method of mastery is to become conscious of the motives of our actions. The mind has to learn to discern the occult fountain of our will and impulsions. In a general way whatever brings peace and harmony and unity, whatever makes us feel and grow closer to the Mother comes from the higher forces. On the other hand whatever creates unease, restlessness, excitement, fear, jealousy, lust, anger etc comes from the lower regions of consciousness.

We have to step back and reflect before rushing into action, give sanction only to what comes from the higher regions while refusing to act upon the incitement by the lower impulses. After a time as we grow in sincerity and vigilance the discernment becomes automatic and the mastery natural and effortless. The more we are able to master our own movements the more this knowledge and mastery extends to the world around us.

The rest develops with the growth of consciousness, emergence of the psychic being and surrender to the Divine Mother.

Affectionately,
