AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Praying, chanting to the Divine.. Still very dark for some. Hell to some of us is: Intense Pain – emotional, mental that becomes Physical, with no solution in sight – Just faith in the Divine that makes the person not wanting to kill oneself! With absolutely no support physical or emotional… Totally one their own. Is this a test? This is karmic we believe. But this absolute pain makes one fall and get into cravings for holding onto little faith. So one guru says, when someone is hungry and poor  give him food not philosophy!  Isn’t it the condition with people who are going through hell😈?

As to personal hell, of course the person does not need lecture. I am myself a psychiatrist and do not speak scriptures to those who come in pain. Yes some Vedantic understanding of life, change of attitudes and thought patterns, having faith in God or whatever deity they believe in, even learning some deep breathing methods is useful. But then there is a difference between this and having an aspiration for the higher life. Remember what the Upanishads say, nayamatma balheene, the Self is not won by the weak.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
