AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Recently while you replying to a letter💌 told that taking up spirituality  early in life is not desirable. But if a call comes early, what will he do then?

By early I meant adolescence. It is because the vital nature at this age is full of passions and desires. Taking to spiritual life can throw the person in serious inner conflict. It is a time when one should read, prepare oneself by becoming conscious about oneself and life, engage with the world and practice the karmayoga of the Gita remembering the Divine Mother as often as one can while going through the experiences of worldly life. These experiences have their own role to play in preparing us. Then by the time one is 24 it becomes clear what one really wants to do.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
