AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Though there were many Divine Avatars in the past, and are at present, on earth, according to the need of The Time and the life of humans, The Present Avatar and its guidance are The Relevant connection and message for the humans. 🌠✨[…]

That Avatar and its message carry the beauty and purpose of all previous Avatars, along with much more of its own, which was not done inĀ other Avatars, but will be worked out here now, giving the guidance for the future.

In that view, Sri Aurobindo and The Mother are The Present, existing Avatars come on earth to guide humanity Here and Today. So the wise should avail the existing Divine Force and its guidance, which is right now in front of them.Ā Losing them is utter foolishness. Getting them includes the essence of all Avatars. Am I right? Please correct the necessary.

Yes, absolutely so. Each Avatara carries within itself the essence of the Avatar that preceded him. It is indeed foolish since it is the Divine who has called the soul, without which one cannot really turn or even think of Him. Isn’t it strange that there are plenty of people who live in Pondicherry, even near the Ashram, but have never felt the urge to read or even enter the precincts of the Ashram? On the other hand, there are people living in the other part of the world who come drawn as a bee to the flower without any propaganda. That is because some receive and hear the call, others are not ready, or have a different destiny. But the physical mind may yet step in and start comparing and contrasting and thereby delay or even turn the person, momentarily at least, away from the Call and miss the chance and call of a higher destiny. Whose loss is it? Of course, the spiritual destiny always stands and eventually fulfils itself, even if it has to go through a long and difficult journey to disentangle the complex knots of one’s nature. But then, who would want to delay, postpone or resist the inevitable?

Here is what the Mother reveals.

‘InĀ theĀ eternityĀ ofĀ becoming,Ā each Avatar is onlyĀ theĀ announcer,Ā theĀ forerunnerĀ ofĀ a more perfect realisation.

And yet men have alwaysĀ had theĀ tendency to deifyĀ theĀ AvatarĀ ofĀ theĀ pastĀ inĀ opposition toĀ theĀ AvatarĀ ofĀ theĀ future.

Now again Sri Aurobindo has come announcing to the world the realisation of tomorrow; and again his message meets with the same opposition as of all those who preceded him.

But tomorrow will prove the truth of what he revealed and his work will be done.’

n ancient India there was no such dichotomy. Let me give a few examples. Arjuna and Bhisma both were yogis and had mastered the art and science of weapons that remains unsurpassed by anyone except perhaps Parashurama and Lord Rama himself. Many scientific discoveries including the structure of atom was done by …

But how is it practically possible? “Job should be an expression of your inner and of your will to be…” – The inner will is just opposite to these 9-5 works, these offices, this pressure of completion of work, boss… everything is just opposite to my inner will. 🌱[…]

Why not? There are people who do that. Of course one has to find some means of livelihood as well to sustain oneself, for example journalism, that helps you earn precisely through these very tendencies.

Alok Da, in the poem ‘Love and Death’ – I felt Ruru made a wrong choice; if he had become a Rishi, he could have led a race, but here he chose his own vital love. Well, in Savitri, it was different. She chose to come back with him because their work was unfinished … What do you think?Ā šŸŒ¹ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

Yes. But perhaps he became a yogi pursuing the path of love transmuting the vital love into psychic by pursuing the law of sacrifice. Once one can break that barrier from the vital to the psychic love then it can be uplifted towards the spiritual and divine heights. This life was for him a preparation by experiencing…
