AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Whenever possible can you tell me as what was the story behind the universe to which Mother said that it’s a long story to tell. And which were the intermediaries that intervened and slowed the process….Can you tell the story behind the universe Mother to which Mother said that is a long story to tell and which were the intermediaries that slowed down the process🤨

When the Divine Mother willed to create, She brought out different aspects from the One Divine and distributed Her Knowledge and Power to each one of them for specific functions. These are the several gods and goddesses that form a hierarchy of sub-creators or form makers. In fact man himself has become a part form maker due to his capacity for thought and creative imagination.

But none of these form makers did not transmit the creative impulse of the Divine Mother in an absolutely transparent manner. Something was held back, something introduced from the point of view of each god, thereby partly diminishing and limiting the Divine Force and Knowledge in the transmission. The ultimate result of this limitation and distortion has been the dark, titanic elements, even evil that entered the creation as an eventual byproduct.

One can conceive of it like a huge multilayered building where the owner gives charge to several different managers along with one main manager. Cosmic Mind is the main Manager. Now each does his work but naturally the cosmic managers are limited in their functioning and cannot fully comprehend the Mind of God or the Supermind. Thus each distorts the work a little bit according to his idea.

Now knowing this inevitable problem the Divine comes to earth from time to time to rectify and reorient things, to set the distortions right. In the process He also recruits some human beings who have developed to a point to know and execute His Will without distortion. These then become His earthly representatives, the demigods or gods. These will eventually become the perfect managers through the supramental transformation. They will receive and transmit the Divine Mother’s Knowledge and Power as a pure and perfect channel thereby transforming the present distorted earthly life into the Divine Life it is meant to be.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Namaskar alok Da, Considering that Sonam Wangchuk – the Climate Activist – who is in jail, has drawn inspiration from Sri Aurobindo’s autobiographical account of his year-long detention in Alipore Jail (as detailed in ‘Tales of Prison Life’), – how do you assess the way the current government is addressing environmental issues and engaging with activists — and on what basis can one evaluate who is “Right” or “Wrong” in the government-versus-activist dynamic?” 🌿

First about the facts. Mr Sonam Wangchuk is not inspired by Sri Aurobindo. There is nothing even remotely common between him and Sri Aurobindo whose name he has used as if he is going through a similar process. It …

“There is no criterion, but one can easily distinguish if one is in the inward condition, not sleep, in which most visions take place, by the nature of the impression made. A vision in a dream is more difficult to distinguish from a vivid dream-experience but one gets to feel the difference”- from Letters of Yoga. Alok Da, can you please explain the last line written by Sri Aurobindo? 🌄

A vivid dream experience is generally of a symbolic nature that reveals a deeper truth through the sign language of dreams. A vision, on the other hand is an…
