AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

What is the difference between God and the Mother😇? Are incarnations and God different? Isn’t the Ishtadev itself God? How is spiritual evolution possible when the ego is deeply hurt and its impact on health?

I am attaching this letter to an AIM issue on the twelve qualities mentioned in the symbol of Sri Ma.
God is the name of the ultimate mystery from which creation emerged, which is present in every particle of creation and beyond. The power of God, which is omniscient and omnipotent, and through whose grace the creation is born, is called Mother. Like God, Mother has many forms and incarnations. The incarnation that embodies and manifests this all-conscious power of God in human form is known as Shri Ma of the Pondicherry Ashram.
When God takes birth on earth as an earthly creature or human being for a specific purpose, they are called an incarnation. Their mere incarnation opens up new possibilities for the evolution of embodied beings.
Ishta is worshipped as God, but in reality, Ishta represents some aspect of God.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The talk sounded like you were putting down Marriage as a concept! True, some regions do this horse ride/wasting money, which is in bad taste. However, Marriage as a concept gives the monkey minds a framework. 🥸💍💒[…]

Yes, I agree that for the average human being, these outer frameworks and social institutions do serve a purpose of holding people together. Of course, as I mentioned, marriage or not, love and togetherness can be beautiful and ought to be so. But for that, man needs to evolve beyond the present frameworks, which operate as long as one accepts the limits of dos and don’ts. …
