AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

What is the power in Savitri🕊️?

It is the power of Divine Love that alone can transform earthly life into the Life Divine.

The quintessence of the power that Savitri holds within her is succinctly summarised in these four lines on the last page of Sri Aurobindo’s epic poem. When asked by the sages as to what magical power in her has transformed their lives, Savitri replies.

“Awakened to the meaning of my heart
That to feel love and oneness is to live
And this the magic of our golden change,
Is all the truth I know or seek, O sage.”

This in a way is also the core message of Savitri as revealed in the story itself which is about the victory of conjugal love over death.

Affectionately,

Alok da

Am I right? 🫴🏼🪷😊🙏🏻🌻

It is a question of semantics, playing with words. Satya nistha is the motive but the act is renunciation. Renunciation is an action that may be done for a number of reasons such as inability to face the challenges of life …
