AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Is the transition from the last Kaliyuga to Satyuga explained, or are some signs that appeared given in our Vedic Literature? The current Kaliyuga is coming to an end and a new Satyuga is starting. My question is in this context. πŸ“–πŸŒπŸ€”

The transition from Kaliyuga to Satyuga is given in the Puranas, especially the Matsya, Vishnu and Bhagawat Puranas, as well as the much later Bhavishya Purana. In the Vedas, it is barely hinted at, mainly in the Brahmanas.Β

The signs of transition from the Kaliyuga to Satyuga are mainly a complete breakdown of the old world order, with the emergence of new and weird ways of life. There is a state of anarchy with a complete loss of all social and traditional values. At that time there is prophesied that the last Avatar of Vishnu, Kalki Avatar, will come and destroy the forces of evil and establish the New Satyuga.Β

You will find all this in my talk on Kalki Avatar and on the cycles of Time on Auroma.

Sri Aurobindo and The Mother have also given us the signs and indications of the setting in of the new age, of the new Satyuga.

Essentially, it is a state of growing anarchy, preparing through it the emergence of a new order. All this is so evident today that it is unmistakable.Β

For example, what we call as Wokism today is largely a breakdown of all the existing social and gender structures. There is also, alongside these, a rise of women and youth, an instability of the markets, a breakdown of systems, a coming together of masses of mankind cutting across barriers of nations, gender, religions, a big and unprecedented generational gap whereby the new age children think and feel globally and without the burden of past conditioning. Marriages and all other mind made systems that creates stability and social order are gone or going away. There is the emergence of new experiments and new ideas in the domain of education, psychology, science, relationships,Β  finances, art, music and sports. There are new bench marks and records being set every few years, too many new discoveries shrinking the world into a global village. The resurgence of Yoga, meditation and an increasing interest in Sanatana Dharma, with a worldwide growing attention on India, are all so many signs. I think there is a talk on this as well. And of course, The Mother and Sri Aurobindo have spoken extensively about it in Savitri, The Life Divine, The Human Cycle and numerous letters, all of which you should be able to find in the talks and writings. And this is just the beginning. There is so much more to come.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Is it just a coincidence that Sri Krishna was the de facto ruler of Dwarka and Sri Aurobindo started his work as the de facto ruler of Gujarat? I feel as if it indicates that he has started his work from where Sri Krishna left. 🦚πŸͺ·πŸƒπŸŒ„

There are quite a few other similarities. Sri Krishna was brought up in a foster home away from his parents and so was Sri Aurobindo. Sri Krishna came back and freed his people from the tyranny of Kansa and so did Sri Aurobindo return and gave himself to the work of freeing his motherland from the tyranny of the British. In the ….

In Sri Aurobindo’s writings, he very much stresses the need for sexual discipline and Brahmacharya during the student phase of life, and I remember reading Schopenhauer on how the childlike curiosity, inquiry and energy get directed towards sexual mating with the coming of puberty.πŸ˜―πŸ¦‹βœ¨πŸ’–[…]

In Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy, the Divine consciousness manifests into the world through Involution, and human suffering is often described as a side effect of this evolutionary process. πŸ€”πŸ˜£πŸ₯€πŸŒ„[…]

The first thing to understand is that the Divine who chose to plunge into the ignorance with the full knowledge of the aftermath of suffering and the eventual multiplication of delight, the manifold delight of multiplicity, did it with the full consent of our central being, that aspect of the soul that remains unfallen and hence always in the bliss of the eternal company of the Divine. The soul in us took it as a great adventure in which it plunged along …
