AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

I feel empty without the Divine’s presence. How can I hold on to it 24×7? I am putting too much effort but still it is difficult😪.

When we try to put excessive effort it often veils the Presence. In fact all impatience, eagerness or restlessness, even if it be comes in the way. Instead one should try to cultivate peace and quietude, and one’s aspiration should always be full of trust and surrender. Excessive concentration itself can lead to fatigue and close the receptivity.  Especially a balance between inner concentration and work in the spirit of nishkama karma is needed. With Time and Grace you will be surely able to feel the Presence permanently. Here is a meditation of the Mother on this subject.

December 5, 1912

‘In Peace and Silence the Eternal manifests; allow nothing to disturb you and the Eternal will manifest; have perfect equality in face of all and the Eternal will be there…. Yes, we should not put  too   much  intensity,  too   much   effort  into our seeking for Thee; the  effort  and intensity become a veil in front of Thee; we must not desire to see Thee, for that is still a mental agitation which obscures Thy Eternal Presence; it is in the most complete Peace, Serenity and Equality that all is Thou even as Thou art all, and the least vibration in this perfectly pure and calm atmosphere is an obstacle to Thy manifestation. No haste, no inquietude, no tension, Thou, nothing but Thou, without any analysis or any objectivising, and Thou art there without a possible doubt, for all becomes a Holy Peace and a Sacred Silence.

And that is better than all the meditations in the world.’

Affectionately,

Alok Da

My niece who is 12 yrs old doesn’t like sharing😥. If she takes her favorite food to school and her friends ask her to share, she doesn’t give or gives a very small piece. If by chance she happens to share a chocolate with girls she doesn’t like, she wants to snatch it away. She is attached to Krishna, and only thing that pacifies her is when we tell her that Krishna likes if she shares what He has given her. She says “I know it’s bad, i know it’s a devil that says this, but I can’t overpower it. It tells me that those girls did bad and said bad things about you, instead of that you shared your things, now you go steal something from them. Or I keep thinking what will I get if I give them”..[conti]
