AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

An Author had come to my school today and she said Kalyug is still going on and will go on for many years, now I am confused I thought Satyug has already started. and what exactly is Kalyug⏳?

There are different calculations based on interpretations of different Puranas as to the period of yugas. Different scholars interpret it differently. None of these scholars is a Yogi who knows about the future. Besides the Puranas are quite symbolic in their content and not regarded as a completely authoritative scripture as we regard the Vedas, Upanishads, and the Gita.

However, just plain common sense would tell us how flawed some of these scholars could be. For example there is at least some historical evidence of the two major Avatars during which the Yuga changed. Lord Rama’s bridge (Ramasetu), still visible by Satellite images is roughly 18000 years (about 16000 BC) old. Similarly the Mahabharata War is about 6000 years ago (about 4000 BC). This means there is roughly 12000 years gap between the closing of Treta and the closing of Dwapara. This corresponds to one of the interpretations of dates which explain that the number of years from one Age to another reduces by half each time. That is to say the Avatars come in lesser gaps of Time which makes perfect sense given that the degeneration of Dharma is more and more rapid with change over from one Age to another.  If that be so then the gap between Sri Krishna and the next Avatar should be roughly 6000 years which is where we stand today. I have given a talk on this subject and so have quite a few others with similar or different hypothesis. In any case, Sri Aurobindo and the Mother were both trikaladarshis. Their prophecies about significant world events such as India’s independence, defeat of Hitler in the second world war, India’s victory in the Bangladesh War, the splitting of Pakistan into five parts, rise of Asia and India, india’s spiritual gift to the world, rise of Sanatan Dharma are all come true or on the way of coming true. So we can safely say that there word about the beginning of the first steps of Satyuga after 29th February 1956 is true.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

We recently brought a Shivling from my in-law’s place as they are not able to take proper care of it. My in-laws used to worship it with elaborate rituals. We have also been advised to follow it. To be honest, I don’t have much faith in their long rituals which were advised by our family priest. To me a simple ritual with faith & devotion is what is actually needed in worship🤨.

I understand your situation and have experienced this with other families as well. Ritual involves a,material and a spiritual aspect. The material side is to give bath (wash) the Shivalingam daily and keep it in a …

Dear Alok da I am a woman so it’s very easy to look at Divine as a lover… but how can a man relate to Divine like a lover ? Like when Sri Aurobindo writes the poem on Krishna I can relate feel Krishna in that form but what about a man? This was just silly curious question but thought to ask🙂.

This is something that i struggled with for a while as to how could I see the Beloved in the Mother or bring before Her all my different parts for the needed change and transformation. Soon I realised that it …

Last night, I had a dream where I saw that my father and I were getting a tubewell installed, and at the end, when we inserted the pipe, a lot of water came out and it was sparkling. Then, Grandpa came and asked why we had the tubewell installed, saying that the water is salty. When we drank it, the taste was a bit salty, so I said at least the water would be useful. Later, I saw that my brother and I were checking the car’s headlight, but it didn’t light up. So, I said, doesn’t the light work? What’s the problem? He said it’s fine, and when I turned it on, the light was very dim. Then, we removed the mirror from the headlight and saw that it was giving off very little light. What could be the symbolic meaning of this dream🤔?

I don’t think it has any deeper symbolic meaning. Looks more like a dip into the subconscient where the water is not tasty and the lights are dim. But it could also be…
