AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

What are all the things to practice in day-to-day life to get back the Shakti in all forms – Physical, Intellectual, and Emotional? πŸ˜Šβ€οΈβ€πŸ”₯

The Divine Shakti that works towards transformation in this yoga is the Consciousness-Force of the Supreme. It is too vast for human grasp; even the greatest of gods cannot follow Her infinite Intelligence or trace Her workings or hold Her Power. It is to facilitate the journey, to make it easier for us, that She has assumed the form of our Divine Mother. It is through Her that we can receive what She chooses to give, depending upon our readiness and receptivity. But this, too, has been undertaken by Her, to make us humans ready. It is one of the purposes of Her assuming a human body and taking a human birth so that, touched by Her Power and Grace, our human consciousness can undergo the needed divine change.

The secret, therefore, lies in giving oneself unreservedly to Her and Her Work. The more we give ourselves, the more we are able to receive. It is by giving ourselves that Her Power and Force grow in us and do the work of transformation. But this giving should be an act of love, a glad self-giving not done with the purpose of getting or wanting anything.Β

To give means that our consciousness is open and surrendered to Her. It means to think of Her, to turn our emotional being towards Her through devotion and love, to make Her service our single aim and to offer our body and all that we are and do to become a conscious tool and faithful instrument.Β  This offering is done through aspiration and constant inner remembrance, consecrating all our actions to Her, doing it well as a worship but leaving the result entirely in Her hands.Β

The more we give ourselves, the more our mind and the restless vital grow quiet, the less egocentric we become, the opening and receptivity to Her Divine Forces increase.Β

Regular reading of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo’s works, meditating upon them in the heart, doing Her Naam Japa, regular physical exercises done consciously dedicated to Her, doing some work every day, even if for half an hour, for Her, or thinking only of Her should be part of the daily practice.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Purification is the indispensable basis for liberation. It means removing the covering and coating of ignorance and falsehood that veils the true self. In the yoga seeking for mukti, the purification has to be less thorough. It is enough to bring some sattwic rectitude in nature, satwasanshuddhi. Transformation proper..

The talk sounded like you were putting down Marriage as a concept! True, some regions do this horse ride/wasting money, which is in bad taste. However, Marriage as a concept gives the monkey minds a framework. πŸ₯ΈπŸ’πŸ’’[…]

Yes, I agree that for the average human being, these outer frameworks and social institutions do serve a purpose of holding people together. Of course, as I mentioned, marriage or not, love and togetherness can be beautiful and ought to be so. But for that, man needs to evolve beyond the present frameworks, which operate as long as one accepts the limits of dos and don’ts. …
