AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

If the Divine Mother listens to all the prayers from any place, like the workplace, the cooking place, and the bathrooms, as some prayers & Gratitude come naturally at any time. Then can a man pray at that time or he has to preserve those prayers in his mind? And after going to the Samadhi or the Mother’s photo, should he tell those preserved prayers? πŸ€”πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»[…]

If he can pray from any place & at any time, then what is the importance of Samadhi, photos? Also, the difference between the Relics of Sri Aurobindo in Pondicherry & in other places than Pondicherry. Does the Samadhi of Pondicherry has higher intensity of Divine Presence than others? Also, tell me, Sri Aurobindo used to surrender himself to whom? Sri Krishna or the Mother?Β Also, the Mother to whom? As she used the word Thy/Thou/Thee. ‘Thy’ refers to whom?

One has to pray to the Divine in the heart. Prayer is not a thing of the mind, but of the heart. Otherwise a parrot who has learnt, memorised and repeats it would realise God. Prayers must emerge from the heart and rise on a crest of emotion towards God. Its strength lies in faith, and it works best when it is spontaneous. Prayer is addressed to the Divine as a living Person and Presence.Β

The Divine is everywhere but hidden in a cover of ignorance, like the energy of fire is hidden within an inflammable material or fire itself buried below the ashes. In these special places, the covering is very thin and hence it becomes easier to connect with the Divine with lesser effort.

Samdhi, Relics, photographs are powerful means of awakening the Divine Presence in the heart, just as the presence of a magnet draws iron wherever it is, so too these places carry powerful vibrations that draws the soul out.Β

Sri Aurobindo, as the human personality surrendered to the Divine within and uniting his consciousness with His, became himself Divine. The Mother, too, surrendered to the Divine within herself.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Sir, why in Sadness and in Grief, we seem to be more Open to the Divine Mother? I was reading lines of Savitri and the Mother’s Prayer, tears flowed, my centre shifted to Heart(effortlessly), I felt the absorption of the Consciousness, my breath rate increased, I couldn’t hold myself for a while. πŸ“–πŸ₯²πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈβ€πŸ”₯🌼[…]

Grief is a state of intense concentration and can, if the consciousness makes just a little shift open the doors the Divine. As the Mother beautifully reveals….

Last Night I had a Dream/Vision. I saw a dock, I think it was somewhere in Europe. and it looked old, centuries old. Someone threw me overboard, and I died. I can still see the whole thing! Then I saw sometime before that, also, I had died by drowning. And in this life, I cannot swim! But what I saw, was it a Past Life or just a Dream? πŸŠπŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸŒŠπŸ˜°πŸ¦‹

In all likelihood, it is an experience of your past life that is still unresolved fully. Offer the dream in all its details to the Divine Mother so that its impact is wiped off completely from your soul.
