AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

How can I know that I am doing sadhana correctly? Secondly, can there be any harmful effects if I chant a Mantra? πŸ”₯πŸ™πŸ»πŸ“Ώ

Sadhana is not so much about methods and techniques as it is about the sincerity of aspiration and the nature of our seeking. The Divine is not a slave of methods. He acts in perfect freedom and cannot be bound by any outer man-made rules. If the aspiration for the Divine is sincere and the seeking is true, for the truth of the Divine and not just for some temporary worldly gains, then the Divine hidden in our heart knows and responds. It is best, however, not to monitor oneself, as then we enter into the play of the ego, which itself retards and obstructs the contact with the Divine. The secret lies in forgetting oneself and remembering, thinking of the Divine more and more.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da
