AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Sri Aurobindo said Tantra was founded on the ideas which are partially true. What is missing in it🤔?

He spoke of it as the great effort at creating a synthesis between the Divine Self and Nature by leaning on the Divine Mother. However in the end it does close with liberation that takes the individual soul out of the creation rather than works towards transforming it. It explores the powers and processes of Nature as it stands today but when it reaches the last summit of the journey it seeks to come out of the cycle of creation rather than calling in and bringing down new powers and possibilities concealed in Her beyond the powers and possibilities of our present earthly existence. It misses the truth that there is beyond the cosmic Nature with all its range of powers, gods and goddesses, the Transcendent Supreme Mother holding back yet so much more whose descent could transform earthly life into the Life Divine.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
