It is the psychic being that pulls us towards the Divine, generally using the mind or the heart as its instrument. But if the vital is very gross and the ego crude, it may deflect the aspiration and turn it into a spiritual ambition such as wanting powers or becoming a great yogi, etc.Β
[Follow-up Question:]
How to offer a work, may you suggest the best method? Suppose one starts cooking, then before going to the kitchen, one should 1st quiet & call the Mother & try to do all the work with the dedication of perfection & if it is established, then he expresses the gratitude to the Divine Mother that, – ‘Thank you Maa. Only because of you, I have made a little progress towards perfection in cutting the vegetables, washing the dishes & all other components of cooking methods.’
Also, during this period, remembering some sentences written by the Mother & Sri Aurobindo & sometimes the picture of the Mother. Is it a little bit good process of offering a work to the Divine Mother?
This is a very good practical method. The key, of course, is an inner Remembrance and a change of motive from satisfying oneself or others to doing it for the Mother.Β
