AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Bande Mataram. In “Savitri” at page 299 at line 25 – 27: “On peaks where Silence listens with still heartTo the rhythmic metres of the rolling worlds,He served the sessions of the triple Fire. Please explain this: “triple Fire”. 😊🙏🏻🔥

The triple fire has a clear reference to the story of Nachiketa and Yama in the Katha Upanishad. It is the sacrifice that Nature offers to the Divine on the three levels of the Mind, Vital and the Physical plane. She offers this sacrifice so that the New Creation may manifest one day. The gods and the seven original seers or cosmic powers conduct and assist the sacrifice. Aswapati (Sri Aurobindo) has joined them in this process, that is to say that he has become equal to the first seers, a demigod helping the gods in their work.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
