AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Can you share what you think the future of United Nations🌍 will be?

The League of Nations, and now the United Nations and its extensions UNSC, UNGA, UNESCO are all efforts of the human mind and reason to find solutions to the perennials problems that mankind has been facing since long. The efforts of Science and Commerce to connect the world in a way as to create an interconnected and interdependent co-existence tried to bring fairness, equality and unity in mankind. But it has failed to do so just as other efforts such as democracy, liberalism, communism and all other religions and ideologies have failed. That the UN will fail to deliver was already foreseen by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. It is just that the faultlines are becoming clearer by the years and the hypocrisy of nations and their false dealings is getting too obvious to be ignored by the common man. Perhaps it would be enough if one nation can stand up on the bedrock of truth. It will be enough to start a chain reaction in the right direction. From all the things happening right there are indications that India has been chosen to be the catalyst for the change. Let us see.

In any case, the key is fraternity and it is impossible to create it by any mental means. It is only if man evolves to the next spiritual stage and a new spiritualised humanity emerges and gets control of things that the change will begin. But first man must wake up to this higher possibility. A limited imperfect humanity will build always a limited imperfect system and impose it on the world.

Perhaps mankind will try all these human mental methods before waking up towards the possibility of a higher spiritual evolution. But will the present institutions recognize this necessity and facilitate the process or whether they will collapse before new and truer groupings arise is the question that is hanging still. Right now things seem to be heading towards the Abyss, especially with hollow men who blow their own trumpets hold the reins of the materially most powerful nation. Let us see.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

In her conversations with Mona Sarkar on revolutionaries, the Mother mentioned that Subhas had quite illumined psychic after seeing his picture. Then how did he go into the asuric camp? 🤔

Which book of Mona da is it mentioned? I have not come across it. Would like to see the reference. Sri Aurobindo’s own assessment of him was that he was a passionate sentimental idealist with the streak of ambition that drove him. Of course this comment refers to his personaity and nature in this life. It is not any judgment ….
