AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I did not say that the soul has created ignorance. My submission was – The world is created only when the soul chooses to cover itself with ignorance. If she does this then can’t we assume that she wants to enjoy the world, its joy & pain, strength & weakness, evil & goodness? The soul being omnipotent, cannot be forced to cover itself with ignorance and falsehood unless it wishes to do so. Thus what should be her purpose other than this?

The ignorance is a creation of the Divine Maya, which operates in two ways, vidyamayi or a force of knowledge and oneness, and avidyamayi, a force of ignorance. The soul is a portion of the Divine that has accepted to enter the fields of ignorance so that it can grow from its seed state to a fully developed divine being. Pleasure and pain are incidents and processes for this initial first phase of its development. Once fully developed then it experiences not earthly joys which is a very diminished and distorted mixture but Divine Bliss. The soul instinctively knows it and hence is not only seeking this but is unhappy when our ego self is enjoying the mud and mire of earth and satisfied with it.

How does one know it? Well if we find the soul and even grow a little into its consciousness we shall know and not before that.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The talk sounded like you were putting down Marriage as a concept! True, some regions do this horse ride/wasting money, which is in bad taste. However, Marriage as a concept gives the monkey minds a framework. πŸ₯ΈπŸ’πŸ’’[…]

Yes, I agree that for the average human being, these outer frameworks and social institutions do serve a purpose of holding people together. Of course, as I mentioned, marriage or not, love and togetherness can be beautiful and ought to be so. But for that, man needs to evolve beyond the present frameworks, which operate as long as one accepts the limits of dos and don’ts. …
