AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

In one of the answers a few days back you mentioned that -All gods are not the same in power and effect. Each god represents some aspect of the One Divine and hence the response gets filtered through the aspect that we worship. But in sahasranama the god is praised as supreme. Why so🤔?

Each god of the Puranas is also regarded as the Supreme. We may rest with the gods in a transactional approach of give and take or we may take them as doors through which we can pass over to the Supreme. It is equally true of all the gods.

It will be very helpful if you can explain how Durga is different in power, effect and response from Kali, Tripurasundari & Lakshmi.

It is already explained in the Scripture.

Durga is the power of protection guarding us on the path towards the Divine.

Kali is the most powerful as she changes Time, Kala, with her dance, destroys ego and darkness absorbing it into herself.

Tripursundari purifies everything and restores us to wholeness and stainlessness.

Lakshmi is the goddess of beauty, harmony and love. She binds us to the creation and to God with the chord of love bringing harmony and peace wherever she acts.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
