AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

My question is, I canโ€™t sit down in front of The Motherโ€™s photo and do a prayer. But in the morning, only one time I pray for Her to stay with me at each moment. How can I increase my concentration on the Mother? ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

Concentration upon the Mother’s photographs and praying to Her is one powerful way to connect. But a prayerful attitude can be kept the whole day by praying on waking up and before sleep,ย  before and after eating,ย  before and after any activity.ย  It is a quiet remembrance within by taking Her Name and offering the activity to Her.ย

It helps to keep some small books of the Mother, such as White Roses and reading a passage whenever time permits.ย

One can also keep Her music, especially Savitri music, playing in the background and keep a couple of quotes here and there strategically to bring back the remembrance.ย

Rest is a matter of Time and practice.

Affectionately,

Alok da.

Sir Pranam. Now since some days I am going through Sri Aurobindo’s Record of Yoga, Part 1. I am just reading it with only a little understanding. But I am coming accross a word “KAMANANDA” frequently in the book. A simple example: “Recurrence of intense kamananda throughout the day”, Page 671. Please enlighten me about the use of this word in such a manner. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿชท๐Ÿฆ‹[…]

Records of Yoga were actually never meant to be read by anyone. They are Sri Aurobindo’s personal notes and neither the Mother nor Sri Aurobindo wanted them published. That is why they were not part of SABCL. It …
