Sir, is there any arrangement in the ashram to volunteer for a short time? I wish to take a break of a week from work and come to Pondicherry (whenever it’s possible). Will I be assigned work? Also, I have never been in Pondicherry for more than a few hours. Whenever I come for a day’s visit, what is the best way to spend my time😊 ?(apart from Pranam and meditation at the samadhi which the first priority naturally) [Conti]

I don’t know any ashramite personally.

There is generally no such arrangement for a week-long volunteering since one needs to learn the work first. It will be better to come and stay first and spend your time by the samadhi, join in the collective meditations, sit in the Ashram library and read, visit the Ashram departments, especially Sri Smriti, SABDA, Auroshikha, Senteur and the Ashram Playground to get a feel of the Ashram life.

You should book in one of the Ashram guest houses such as International guest house, Cottage guest house, New Guest house, Park guest house or, Samarpan for your stay.
