AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

So, Excessive Talking is depleting for the internal energies as there is an interchange with the person we talk to. How does that work? Does the interchange occur even if we don’t talk and just are in close proximity to people, or maybe look at people or someone on the street? πŸ—£οΈ[…]

So, this interchange can bring about good as well as bad. But most of the time, even after knowing this, there is a forgetting of this truth when speaking or when around people. So, we have to protect our own truth from getting mixed up. Is there a way to feel this happening? To experience the impacts of excessive mingling with the people.

There is a constant interchange going on in the world. But close interaction, especially speech (and sexual activity, though at a different level), greatly augments it. That is why one should choose one’s friends very wisely. It may not matter much if we are leading the usual, ordinary life in pursuit of pleasure. But when we decide to consciously evolve, we can lose much through such interchanges that we gain with great difficulty in the inner life.Β

The way to avoid it is to first develop one’s true individuality through conscious choices. Then, to try living from within instead of being thrown out by all kinds of forces impacting our surface consciousness.Β

One feels these things through a kind of inner sensitivity that develops as we grow. One becomes aware of the changes in the state of one’s consciousness as one mixes with people, including the kind of thoughts that come to us, the general level and kind of energy, the feelings aroused in us, etc, etc.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
