AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Alok Da, is it okay that I catch the spirit of Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga, when I read Political-Historical Writings – like Bande Mataram/ Karmayogin and don’t exactly feel it in Works – like Letters on Yoga. 📖[…]

Because I feel there’s something quite visceral and raw in BM-KY writings, while Letters on Yoga feels like he’s trying to patiently cure a hundred different psycho-spiritual doubts and problems of various sadhaks, and that’s exactly not to my taste, is it okay to have such preferences, or reading the letters is essential to walk his path?

Yes. It is perfectly okay. Different persons connect differently with Sri Aurobindo, each with the aspect that is most in sync with the turn of one’s nature, the temperament, and the past evolution. Affectionately,

Alok Da
