AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Some devotees of the Mother suggest that when we are in her presence, we shouldn’t pray to other gurus or gods or perform any unnecessary kuldeiva pooja. Coming from an orthodox family, this can be challenging. Why is it advised not to follow other practices? Does this relate to energy levels😳?

It is best to be one-pointed in Bhakti. That brings best results for inner progress. But when we pray to different deities then it brings different and often contrary influences which may not be helpful for sadhana. That is why absolute surrender to one Master or Guru is recommended (though not enforced) in every tradition of Yoga.
