AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

What are the origins if Europe? What is the origin of England? Where is Europe heading?

From the accounts we have, Europe seems to be the expression of the downward gaze of God falling in love with the outward beauty of creation. It is an outward gazing society so to say. Asia, on the other hand is inward looking and upward striving. The two are more like the left brain and the right brain with India as the heart or the soul. England is a gift of the sea for wayfarers to settle and develop a composite culture. It can be perhaps best described as a business people with largely a rajo-tamasic temperament that holds on to the traditions and conventions yet admits change not so much because it feels an inner need but more because of being pushed by outer circumstances. Europe, on the other hand is largely rajasic with change, restlessness, fashion being almost a way of life.

Present day Europe is like a high speed car rushing towards the precipice while the people sitting inside are enjoying the beautiful landscapes outside. The driver is young, drunk with pride and high on success, the vital mind of man, driving carelessly forgetting the words of caution of its grandsire Greece, learning nothing from the downfall of Rome. It is indeed a dangerous situation and the average European is still wearing blinkers.

As to England it has been prophesied that it will go back to the sea which may mean figuratively being overwhelmed and drowned by all kinds of people under whose influence it loses its own identity and becomes a free for all, a drifter and free floating isle without any clear idea of which shore to join. Things do not look good.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The talk sounded like you were putting down Marriage as a concept! True, some regions do this horse ride/wasting money, which is in bad taste. However, Marriage as a concept gives the monkey minds a framework. πŸ₯ΈπŸ’πŸ’’[…]

Yes, I agree that for the average human being, these outer frameworks and social institutions do serve a purpose of holding people together. Of course, as I mentioned, marriage or not, love and togetherness can be beautiful and ought to be so. But for that, man needs to evolve beyond the present frameworks, which operate as long as one accepts the limits of dos and don’ts. …
