AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

What is difference between surrender, inactivity and giving up? Does surrender mean less focus on the end result and giving effort and allowing her work as She feels🧐?

Surrender means giving up of oneself in the hands of the Divine. It does not mean that we shall not put in our efforts. We will do what we are called upon to do or should do in a given situation or circumstance but let the Divine completely determine the result regardless of whether it is apparently success or failure, pleasant or painful according to our immediate idea of things. The logic behind it, if one wants to understand logically is that the Divine Wisdom knows better than us as to what is really good for us in the long run as our soul journeys across lives. It implies faith in the Divine Grace and Her Ways

Inactivity is not surrender to the Divine because it means that our will is refusing to collaborate with the Divine.

Giving up may mean that one has arrived at the extreme limit of one’s personal effort. Thence one abandons oneself entirely in the hands of the Divine to do with oneself as He pleases, as She Wills. Though outwardly the person may be in a helpless state, he is inwardly peaceful and quiet if the self abandon is true and complete.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

My niece who is 12 yrs old doesn’t like sharing😥. If she takes her favorite food to school and her friends ask her to share, she doesn’t give or gives a very small piece. If by chance she happens to share a chocolate with girls she doesn’t like, she wants to snatch it away. She is attached to Krishna, and only thing that pacifies her is when we tell her that Krishna likes if she shares what He has given her. She says “I know it’s bad, i know it’s a devil that says this, but I can’t overpower it. It tells me that those girls did bad and said bad things about you, instead of that you shared your things, now you go steal something from them. Or I keep thinking what will I get if I give them”..[conti]
